In 2005, after moving to its own retail location in Highland
Park, Illinois, TheVelvetSnoot.com was born to reach a larger
audience of large breed dog owners.
Being the proud mother of MooShu and Ming, my two adorable Shar-Pei,
I was finding it increasingly challenging to find well-made,
unique pet products for my big dogs. I would find a designer
dog collar here, a colorful leash there, but never two of the
same sets. I'd locate a cute t-shirt or sweater, but not one
in a big enough size for MooShu to brave Chicago's winter weather.
I would discover a fabulous dog bed, but not one big enough for
my 50 pounders to stretch out on. You get the idea! So I built
my business around my own needs. Welcome to my vision! We boast
the largest selection of designer dog collars for big dogs, specialty
dog toys, dog bowls and feeding stations for big dogs and luxurious
custom dog bedding for large breed dogs. If you don't see what

It is my goal to put all big dogs in beautiful dog collars, have
